A brief history of Volvos

home

I like to count Volvos. It was originated by Shannon O'Dell and I, although we've pulled Rocco into it. It started the summer post-sophmore year. Karl drives a forrest green Volvo. One time he was something like eight hours late. I don't think I've never seen Shannon so mad. And we kept seeing Volvo after Volvo. We counted fifteen that day (Karl's was number thirteen). I'm not really sure why we continued to count Volvos. I think it was just to prove the rarity of seeing 15 Volvos in Carlsbad, as opposed to us just noticing them more. Sure enough, the usual number for Carlsbad is about three. In downtown, Rocco and I usually spot at least thirty. The current record is 105, seen by myself on the way home from visiting family in LA over thanksgiving weekend (November 27, 1999).

I couldn't think of anything to put in this box, but I really like these little boxes, they make me feel like I'm inserting a secret message or something. So look, here's a box. Neat.
